Pain and Pleasure~

by Mustardhart   Sep 30, 2004

The twin brothers Pain and Pleasure
They tell lies when you embrace
Only fools believe in an eternal union

They suffice only but for a while
Living with any at a time can be deceptive
One is needed, but the other needful

An irony in this life we have to live with
The twin we cant really trust for a go
Embracing them for life, spells disaster

Both born the same day, but time
Pleasure is older, Pain is next
We need them through our pilgrim here

Pleasure can make us live in a pseudo-reality
Pain can create an empire of low esteem
Mothered by the fall, by the deceit, by the serpent

This is the grim choice I figure i have got
In living with them, myself I must absolve
Or will be charge at the end of making one a friend.
