Wedded Bliss

by Robert   Sep 30, 2004

I gaze but I cannot see,
I have no bars yet I am not free.
I live to please everyone around,
I think I shall do this until they put me in the ground
I thirst with no water in sight,
I struggle yet I can't win this fight.
In shadows I wait for a wait out,
I whisper so no one hears me shout.
I am he that has been driven mad from bliss,
that has cast his life away because of one kiss
Tell me was it the ring or the words said,
that has cast me in this land of the dead
Freedom is but a dream I can no longer hold,
my heart has been taken crushed and sold.
I feel little pain though all that has been done,
I hope one day I will be like I was born just one.
