I Have Come To Be

by Robert   Sep 30, 2004

I am by birth ever exploring for what is real,
for it is my driving goal my constant thrill.
I research with a lust that none can match,
but I often find myself detached.
I am a poet because I have the talent to write,
but I have caused and won my share of fights.
I am small compared to most others I see,
but none have the need for freedom as me.
I see them dancing around life smoking have a good old time,
but the lack of direction to me is the worst of all crimes.
I love with great understanding and speak from the heart,
for I have done this even from my start.
A drive I have that feeds me to go where no one ever will,
even if it is the very thing that ends my life's deal.
I am a speaker of what I see every day of my life,
peoples goals loves and strife.
I have no collage degree or paper that tells me who I am,
for such document to me are a sham.
I will live my life for what goals I have for me,
and through these words you will witness the person I have come to be.
