EULOGY FOR MY CHILD (Part2)

by Mustardhart   Sep 30, 2004

I want to still tell you this, listen yet:
Live your life today like it is the last.
Live for the master and keep focus on that and no other.
Remember the tree most stoned, is that which bears fruit.
No honor in kicking someone who is down.
Painful and evil to ignore the sufferings of others.

Love without condition, or price.
Forgive and forsake the evil thought to avenge,
It is your constant need too; in the way you are passing.
The creed you must meditate on, daily.
Bring joy, love, laughter, peace, and happiness.
To your maker, your mother, your kindred.

Seek the way of happiness; seek it with all your heart.
Your lot may be waiting for you in the hereafter, if not here.
Music is my gift to you, right thinking the legacy I leave for you
In love we learn to love and loving makes us love more.
But, beware of that falsehood in the name of love.
Your time and age is filled with what is false and popular.

You bear my life in you, my love in your heart.
Dwell with those your heart directs.
Seek only to please your maker, in doing so hurt people.
Don't look back to see some pain, in pleasing your maker.
Flee hypocrisy. It resides with cowards and nobody's
Reject falsehood; resist it on your life.

Kill lies whenever, wherever it is found.
Judge not men on the apparel they wear, or their makeup.
Choose not by the deception of your eyes,
Nor allow your senses make you take a decision.
I have come to know that, these are temporal and die with time.
One thing is true, one thing is eternal, your heart.

How about respect? How about money?
I guess mama would tell you about these.
If you must be in debt, be of respect, not of money.
Be a slave of goodness, and toil for grace and give it,
Don\'t ever labor for money. Don't seek it like it is life.
Your lot is not in that, but in what can't be seen.

You see things just don't get right by themselves.
I hoped one day I would be a good dad, the best.
Not in competition, but to give what it takes.
That which is rich and lasting, which also will remain.
But can I say that is birthed now?
Can I stand and still talk about that anymore?

Will I be the pride of your mother and her love for life?
I do not deserve of such grace, not even the love.
I way laid my life in folly; I killed it in cold blood.
Now I have to write you this, cry over you.
Such that, should you live, you may escape corruption.
Escape the pains killing me now. Live long and happy.

I had what were friends only to realize it was a ruse.
Terrible facade believing a lie for more than a decade.
Watch your back, or those who feed with you will stab you.
The very ones that share your mat, even your food.
Watch your appetite too; don't follow their greed and snare.
Live long my son, and feed on the joy your maker reserve for you.

I wish you well, I wish you happiness, and I wish you peace.
I will constantly look you up, and hold you up.
You are my dearest and the best that I could have had.
And the love in your mother is such beauty flourishing by the day.
I gaze at her and I find her complete in the grace of God.
Complete and wonderful, and she carry not only you, but also my heart.
