Shelter Me

by PAUL HEWSON   Sep 30, 2004

The clouds of a raging storm .
they form,
over the fresh blue canvass of sky .
rolling , forever rolling,
darkening, forever darkening ,
the winds whisper turns up its sound.
it surrounds,
around the once lifeless ground.
howling , forever howling ,
chilling , always chilling .
the people in the park
THEY run from the dark
into the shelters that are not there homes .
running, forever running .
frightened, forever frightened.
the sunlight of dawn , cracked , deformed
be warned
be warned .....
i,m running home to you ,
for you will keep me warm ,
away from the raging storm .
I'm running home to you ,
away from the wind ,
that chills me within .
I'm running home to you ,
away from the dark,
and into your heart .
into your heart .....
