The vampire and the werewolf

by scott Eason   Sep 30, 2004

His name is Joe and he appears to be normal as can be
but his curse separates him from being normal like you and me
he works during the day and tries to live a normal life
but this is interrupted when a full moons lights up the sky
his human body is warped to the shape of dog
his human eyes transform and glow in the fog
he hides hunting his prey feeding on what ever he can
nothing satisfies his hunger like the taste of man
he howls in the to sky as the moon disappears and can no longer be seen
this is when he turns back to a somewhat normal human being.

Her name is Julia and can not be awake during the day
sun up she sleeps sun down she hunts for her prey
her powers can not not be measured nor her tears
she has been walking this earth for 300 years
her teeth stained with the blood of many men and women
her spirit is dead, her heart is black and full of sin
she is tired of this, this is not her she hates her life.
betrayed by her lover and changed with one bite.

the creatures both have something in common with one another
they are both in love with each other
Joe wonders why he cant see Julia during the day
and why Joe disappears at night every 6th day
both are mysterious and look to the other for help
on this cold September night they meet but not as their self
the werewolf spots his desire and contemplates her
she Had n idea what was fixing to occur.
her senses are sharp she sensed evil like her self away in the distance
she pretends not to know and raises her defenses
they now engage in battle and it is over as fast as is starts
a record of lies and deceit will now separate 2 random hearts.

Great poem! It really shows well the weakness in human nature and how we are ashamed to admit what we really feel and/or are to each other. Good stuff :D

i really liked this, i loved the ending. i loved how there was so much symbolism and human betrayl fixed into it. i loved how you compared the monsters to painful lovers. i liked it alot.
