The Secret Little Room

by Amy   Oct 4, 2004

There is a little room
Hidden away from humans eyes
A dark room full of mystery
Secrets, deceit and lies

Inside this secret room
Are memories locked away
Undiscovered treasures
Undisturbed they lay

Skeletons in the closet
Evil, disturbing truths
All hidden in this secret room
Under this very roof

This dark and little room
Holds many boxes covered in dust
Disturbing memories locked within
Of evil, pride and lust

Stories with no endings
Remain silent and untold
What other mysteries
Does this secret room unfold

Questions with no answers
Never meant to be heard
Blank, unwritten paper
With invisible words

Faded photographs
Of a sad yet beautiful face
Her haunting memory
Can never be erased

Broken and old toys
Scattered everywhere
And an old worn brush
With still some strands of hair

Diaries of the past
Filled with hopes and dreams
To gaze upon the sun again
Impossible it seemed

A stolen childhood
Trapped within these walls
If you listen carefully
You can hear the desperate calls

Of a girl who never saw the sun
Or felt the breeze rustle through her hair
An unwanted child
Whom for no one did care

They left her in this room
To slowly lose hope and die
To waste away to nothing
No one heard her silent cries

So in this little room
She stayed till the day
When the sun didn't rise
And an angel took her away

And she left behind that room
Which she called home
Where she spent so many days
All on her own

What a life! This is a great poem, I can just imagine the pains and the heat in that room. There is a light in the outside I believe. Definately a 5/5
