Let me be a Channel

by Mustardhart   Oct 4, 2004

Let me be a channel of your love
On the legacy that others painfully laid
Of price so dear, so worth the pay
Of agony that the man-soul cant take
To be a candle that your light ’ll shine

Let me be a channel of your life
To see the nations released of chains
To watch a loving arm call them in
To smile at the very pains they’d obeyed
This! The call, this! my cry I pray.

Let me be a channel of your peace
Of blessedness, love, humility and power
That’ll count the dying lost more important
And my life a Calvary, that bear from Christ
And memoirs of yesterday, my grace today.

Faith is a profound quality to have an even harder quality to provoke, Your work shines with the belief of a God, and to your credit you have a lofty notion don't let no one take that away. I on the other hand well lets say I have little in faith and alot in mouth. Your work is good and the wording is great I do give you that. Keep it up, maybe you may convince people to see it your way good luck.

I love religious inspired pieces so this was right up my alley! Complex language used again but i believe it merely adds to, or is the basis of the effectiveness of your poems - so far im extremely impressed and am looking forward to reading many more...another great poem to your credit :o)
