TROPHY OF FAITH

by Mustardhart   Oct 4, 2004

In this wild, wild world
Where faith sell for a piece of cake
Where reason and logic, a goldmine
I can see through the chronicle of times
The ground the patriarch trod
Has turned slim and obsolete
Who cares if it is a forsaken trail?

They believed because “He” spoke
We disbelieve, because we revolt,
Against that ancient path- “faith lane”
That has been the sorrow and joy of many.
The truth is that, we can’t please God without it
And we cant please ourselves with it
This, the crux that attracts a price.

In our days of ..ies and …isms
One can’t comprehend the deity and laity
Nor distinguish betwixt the obscene and devoted
Can we match on for a price so dear?
For which so many lost fortunes to obtain,
And carelessly, never minding it’s worth?
We can’t capture the truth
Till we understand the import,
Of trophy of faith.
