A little bit lonely

by Timothy   Oct 4, 2004

1st Verse:
There's times when we are together, I don't know what to say,
But when I am alone, I could practice it all day;
I look to the south and know you are only a few miles away,
And I wonder to myself: How has it come to be this way?

The sad truth is, I just don't know what to do,
Because there is not a single thing I have ever seen through;
But I want to change, with these thoughts of you,
Please listen to these words...and know they are true.

Chorus:
I'm a little bit lonely,
I don't need you behind me,
Baby, I need you right beside me,
And I need your love to guide me.
Because I'm a little bit lonely,
I can look, but I don't see,
What would the world be,
If you could take away my LONELY?

2nd Verse:
I know you put the effort out there,
And that your heart is so fair;
You have a lot of affection to share,
And I should be loving you without a care.

I miss you more, more than the weekend before,
Time ticks on, and it's still you I adore;
My heart aches, and I can not ignore,
Every time I watch you walk out that door.

Repeat Chorus:
I'm a little bit lonely,
I don't need you behind me,
Baby, I need you right beside me,
And I need your love to guide me,
Because I'm a little bit lonely,
I can look, but I don't see,
What would this world be,
If you could take away my LONELY?

Note: I actually sang this song as I wrote it to make it flow better. Now, I need to add music! LOL!
