Happiness

Happiness is just a teardrop away
It’s an unknown feeling never felt any day
The pain and frustration built up for years
Faded away by all the cuts and tears
Never a real laugh, never a real smile
Just something I stuck on my face for awhile
Tear lined eyes and blood soaked fingertips
Shaking arms and trembling lips
Happy is an unknown word
Without a meaning so absurd
There's only one word I know so well
A word that describes my eternal hell
A word so used, so warm and near
A word I have come to love, not fear
A word that really isn’t all that bad
A word that is my life, my destiny, it’s sad
