I always needed comfort
So you were by my side
And now that I would look around

I always thought I needed you
So you'd take care of me
But now I've come to realize
That you will never be

I thought that life could be a dream
That it could always heal

I see it can't be real

I've taught myself about things
Especially like love
And one thing I will not forget

So now my life is different
