"Routine"

by Nobrainy_duh   Oct 6, 2004

Here I am once again,
Longing for the closeness that has been,
But what happens is the same,
I long for something new, a change,

The same routine everyday,
The same routine every week,
The same routine is killing me,
Is killing me inside,

My fire that was once strong,
Now I wonder if it will go on,
As it dwindles more day by day,
Part of me wants to go, the other wants to stay,

So here I am,
On my knees,
Pleading for You,
To speak to me,

To speak to me of wonders unseen,
To wash my sins until they\'re clean,
To hold my hand as I follow You,
To keep my heart ever-true,

So pull me out of this routine,
Before I die set me free,
From this bondage and chains that hold me down,
And hold me in your arms safe and sound.
