The Dream

by Felicia Tursi   Oct 6, 2004

I pass you in the hall,
I take a glance you almost fall.
For a second i smile,
My books drop into a pile.
As I bend over to gather them,
I see your hand picking one up.
We reach to pick up the same book,
My hand touches your I take a look.
Your hand, the heat,
I cannot describe as my heart starts to beat.
The pace gets faster as every second goes by,
I'm thinking this is a dream its such a lie!
This can't be true you actually looked me in the eyes,
I hear a beep, on the bed my dog lies.
It WAS a dream I begin to sigh,
I'm sad I feel as if I can die.
The phone begins to ring,
I listen theres a sudden ding.
I pick up the phone, say hi,
I hear you! I feel so alive!
I realize it may have been a dream,
But You and I we are a team.
