She

Underneath her mask
lies something un-revealed,
it has been there forever,
yet never to be healed.

The darkness inside of her
is never to be found,
and this tearful solitude
is to what she's bound.

Into darkened misery
she's slowly being thrown,
she smiles just to hide
what may never be shown.

She has lost all hope
that everything will be okay,
underneath her mask lie
words she's too weak to say.

All of this pain
you need true eyes to see,
she wants to spread her wings,
she wants to be free.

She wants to end it all,
and simply grab the knife,
yet she's being held back
by the cruelty of life.

This time depression
has found someone to control,
it has killed all beautiful,
every part of her soul.

She can barely breathe,
but she gets through each day,
she doesn't want you to listen,
just go,
go away.
