When life's so hard
And you can't grasp a hand to hold.

When your heart is broken
And all your secrets have been told.

When they days are long
And the nights are never ending.

When you're weak and alone
And there's no hope for mending.

When you're eyes are filled
With unwanted, bloody tears.

When you're afraid
And you can't look into the eye of your fears.

When your body is numb
And you can no longer feel.

When your face
Has lost all beauty and appeal.

When stars won't shine
And your dreams have lost their way.

When strength is gone
And you can't make it through another day.

When there's nothing left
And everything you loved is gone.

When you lose hope
And you know you cannot move on.

When you stop believing
And you've made the last mistake.

When you go to bed
Give your soul to the lord to take.

When you go unheard
And you're done with all the lies.

When all is lost
Just tightly close your eyes.
