Inside My Heart

by Felicia Tursi   Oct 6, 2004

I look at you as you walk by,
I open my mouth try to say hi.
Nothing comes out as my lips move,
I wish I could talk because I have something to prove.
You walk by, grab a tissue, walk away,
You do it again, I dare not look your way.
In fear you will look me in the eyes,
For you might see what truly lies.
Deep in my heart a burden of desire,
Burning like ember as hot as fire.
I cannot say what I hide beneath,
Its not roses tied up in a reef.
Its depression and hatred that you\'ll never see,
Because I hid it to blindly inside of me.
Yet inside my heart is a spot for you,
A little speck that doesn\'t make me feel so blue.
Its all hidden in my heart,
The love for you that will never end its start.
