A Vampire's Happiness

by darkheart   Oct 7, 2004

I am happy when
The sky turns dark,
And the lights go dim
With my cold, dark heart.

I am happy when
I stalk ‘round at night,
Hiding in the shadows,
Waiting for a bite.

Every tiny sound,
Echoes in my ears,
Every small movement
Magnifies loud and clear.

Fangs unsheathes
And sinks into my prey.
Soundlessly,
He begins to sway.

I am happy when
I taste blood upon my lips,
So red and pure,
I drink up every last bit.

So much joy, so happy,
My life increases,
So kind for your sincerity,
So grateful to be me.
