What you don't understand

by Casey   Oct 7, 2004

Are you honestly that cold?
Would I be wrong to say you're heartless?
After seeing my emotions unfold,
How can you go on treating me this way?

Go ahead, keep telling these lies.
Next time think about how they effect me.
Not that you'd care, but look at the tears in my eyes
Look at the disbelief in them.

You let me believe I loved you.
Now I'm a skeptic of the whole theory.
I know better, now I see.
I know not to believe in falling in love.

You don't understand, and you don't want to.
You wouldn't last a moment in my mind.
You don't know how I work, not a clue.
It doesn't matter, my misery won't bother you.

Every word you say
keeps me up at night,
Thinking myself sick, crying until the break of day,
Because I don't understand why you refuse to understand.
