Eternal Bliss

by Dark Savior   Oct 7, 2004

He remember that day he remember that kiss
He knew from that day it would be eternal bliss
destined to be togeather till the day we die
it was a feeling that made you want to cry

He was bursting with emotion and innocence
it looks like he had followed all the right hints
it felt like it was too good to be true, like he wasn't there
but he knew he was as he brushed off a peice of her hair

He thought about her all day at work
all day in my mind that kiss did lurk
the more he tried the harder it had became
he thought to myself this is really lame

just from one kiss i knew she was the one?
this can't be true i am still so young
he still had much parting to do
so the next night he would go out with a girl or two

the woman had waited by the phone and felt that embrace
she waited for hours on end with such distaste
she thought for sure he would call her with haste
it was the truth that she soon had to come to face

He wasn't going to call her and she was just another date
just another to brag about when he was out late
all these thoughts ran through her head
she walked up the stairs to her lonely bed

she wanted him to be there for her but settled for a pillow instead
fell down in her bed as though she was made of lead
in the pit of her stomach she just didn't feel right
she remembered the kiss and thought it was just right

she got up and went down stairs, looked at the clock midnight
going to the closet and flicking on a light
she got on her shoes for another lonely night
as she opened the door she seen a strange sight

as she went to leave the house in a mess of tears
she didn't say anything but he asked her to "use her ears"
he took her hand and got down on one knee
a look into her eyes and said "will you marry me?"

she looked at him and shock and happiness
the statement sealed with one long kiss
they stood there on the front door step
she gave to him something no one had kept
