Angelic Gift; Winged Love

by lyle fortin   Oct 8, 2004

My center of affection
My symbol of perfection
My angel that fell from the sky
Hold you tighter as each day passes by.
Came from heaven to numb my pain
And fell into my arms like drops of rain.
My winged gift from above
With you my heart fell in love.
She takes and embraces me in her wings
And all the while she always sings;
She sings, yet her lips never part;
Is it because I have a song of love in my heart?
The song she sings, and sings not, I hear;
Is this a song she could have placed there?
The song she sings, a beautiful song;
The song that says she can do no wrong;
And of course I believe it, how can I not?
She’s more perfect than anyone could have thought.
She’s perfection on legs and love with wings;
She could never comprehend the joy she brings.
I’ll never forget the day she came tumbling into my arms;
And I gave into her perfect angelic charms.
I only imagine happiness with wings of white
Holding me tight, forever giving me a life with light.
