Sunk Below

by Unseen Exposure   Oct 8, 2004

You're heartless and defective
Something must be wrong with you
How can you not care about
All the hurt you've put me through?

How can you be so bitter now?
You've made a drastic change
And it's not one for the better
You simply molded and rearranged

You're cold and cruel and vicious
For reasons I cannot name
I stare at you and wonder why
Your face is emotionless and plain

Your loving heart and hazy eyes
That once were so alive
Are now closed off and angry
No longer care to survive

The warmth you once embraced me in
Is now freezing my body in place
I can't move, can't breathe, can't live
I stare your thoughtless words right in the face

Oh, what have you done to me?!
I'm stuck in this world with no escape
I have nothing left to give
Nothing left for them all to take

Your eyes tell me a story
And I'm here trying to comprehend
Why you've gone and left me
Why I'm without my only friend

I can see through to your soul
And all of it's depth has gone
It vanished, and you don't even know
That your rights have now been wronged

Look around this spinning world
See this change before your stare
Look at the darkness you've brought
To these lives now in despair

All expression is gone from you
Your words have left my ears
I've begged and cried to you
But these are my screams that no one hears

Tears I've cried won't bring you back
And now all too well I know
I'm a ship wrecked in a lonely ocean
And now I've sunk below...
