You Over Them!

by lydia Ocegueda   Oct 8, 2004

You over them

I thought she was the one

But then you came along,

Now I know she was more than wrong,

She played me for a fool,

She didn’t even use the right tool,

Because the wrench she used broke my love,

Now its shattered and she has to use a glove,

Because if she don’t she’ll get stabbed by my love,

And she’ll bleed to death,

Losing pints at a time,

It’s because of you I’m writing this rhyme,

I think I finally picked a winner this time,

You’re not like her in any way close,

Even though they say you look alike,

I say you have a better pose,

I like you because you’re fun and you understand me too,

I know in the long run you’ll use the right tool,

To keep this thing together,

I promise I’ll do my best,

To help it through the time and weather,

And a promise is something I always keep,

Just like I intend to keep you,

I know we just met but I feel like I’ve known you for years andnd
I hope I never fill your eyes with them poisonous tears,

I’d hate to see you cry all because of me,

I know we haven’t argued and let’s keep it that way,

Because I like you by my side each and every day,

And if that’s not possible we always have the phone,

We talk and chat like tomorrow we’ll be lost in a wild cyclone,

See with you I am comfortable and I can be myself,

There’s no rushing in, it all stays on the shelf,

Like that bottle of champagne, that’s opened at the right time,

I hope our relationship ages like fine wine,

See I really, really like you Lydia and I just want you to know,

That no matter what it takes I plan on giving you the whole show,

One day I hope we’ll grow love for one another,

Because I’ll prove to you that day that my love is like no other,

I’ll love you like a brother,

I’ll love you like a father,

I’ll even love you the way I love my mother,

So no matter what is said and done I just want you to know,

You’re nothing like the others,

They don’t even compare up to you,

Because the one I wanna be with is you.
