Mary

by Kristin   Oct 8, 2004

I once knew a girl,
by the name of Mary,
she always seemed so sad,
and everything was scary.

As I looked upon her eyes,
all I saw was black,
I wondered what she was hiding,
why did she go wack?

She was in my school,
but nobody knew her,
was she abused?
Was she hit with the spur?

She was always in school,
never missed a day,
I found that very strange.
until one day everything changed.

It was a Friday morning, like all the others,
but Mary was no where to be seen.
I started to worry and ask around,
but nobody remembered that teen.

I was furious with all the people,
who didn't realize who she was,
I felt so bad that day.
I cared for her because....

Later that day I was watching TV,
when and AMBER ALERT appeared.
When they said Mary's name I was in shock.
I kept on listening how she disappeared.

A couple hours later they found her body,
mangled in the trees.
How could anyone do this to her.
All she wanted was to appease.

I will always remember Mary,
and how she was killed by her dad.
How her life was so scary,
and how she was always sad.
