Perfect Opposites

by Nicole   Oct 8, 2004

Seperated by history
Forbidden by old fashioned moral
But are we really that different?
Disapproving mothers
angry fathers
and confused sons and daughters
Why can't we all just intertwine?
Hold me closely
I don't care anymore
Let the world bring us with them in their downfall
at least I have you
And even though our skin is ebony and Ivory
Even though they call me black and call you white
and even though there is a thick line between the two
and even though they don't want me to have you
and even though it's us against the world
And even though our familes are lightyears apart
We are...
together
