Autumn Air

by Perfect Little Secret   Oct 9, 2004

I thought I knew what it was
I thought I knew only because
It was what you told me
You said that I'd never really see
Everyone thinks I'm so blind
That I don't hear them behind
me, In the halls I'm all alone
When I'm home I'm on my own
They all notice the scars on my arm
I don't hide them, they show their charm
I've got no money to spend on life
I never had to pay the price for the pain from a knife
Outside the air encircles me
I feel the spirit invoke me
The leaves stir in the autumn dark
Screaming what I believe into the dark
"There is no freedom from the pain "
I said while the blood runs down the drain
Running outside I feel complete
No one judges me, I'm on a happy streak
Outside the pain drains from me
Without a knife I'm finally free
The autumn air is crisp and cold
The trees are dying...

Our relationship is old...
