Sick of it

by Kia   Oct 10, 2004

My friend asked me to write this for her she gave me this
sick of the worries
sick of the pain
sick of the torment
sick of the sadness
sick of the loneliness
sick of the madness
sick of being insane
sick of life
sick of death
sick of you
sick of me
sick of everyone and everything
so i wash it all away with my tears
maybe if i could drowned it, it'll all go away
and asked me to write her sum thing so this is what i wrote.

Hiding all this worry
All this pain
Keeping it all inside
Sometimes makes me think life is lived in vain

Emotions welling up, placing me in torment
I'm sick of all the sadness
Its driving me insane
I'm tired of all this madness

Don't know why I'm living
I often entertain the idea of death
I'm ready to just give it all up
Ready for my last breath

I'm tired of myself
And I'm tired of you
Sick of the life i live
And I'm sick of all the stupid stuff you do

I'm sick of everyone and everything
As I try to wash them all away with tears
I hope life gets better
I'm taking control of the coming years

To disagree with the last comment, I don't love this poem.

It's okay but you can tell it's not from your experience, you haven't felt that pain to the extent your friend has.

I actually think what she gave you was a better poem...Remember, you don't have to have a rhyme in a poem...Free verse poems are some times more powerful than those that rhyme.

And if you do rhyme, don't force it!
