Float Away With me.

by Daphne Darling   Oct 10, 2004

“Float away with me.”

I don’t know what does it; I don’t want to think about it.
“Float away with me.”
Ghostly images of hatred and love.
“Why can’t you fly?”
Clip the meanings from the discarded papers.
“You could just float on ice.”
I don’t see how you could run and hide at a time like this.
“I only want to keep you from sanity.”
I don’t want to see what you have to show me.
“It doesn’t hurt to know what you love.”
Why not go and take yourself away from me.
“But I am you and you are me.”
I cant see how this can be truth.
“Never question what is there for you.”
But doesn’t that mean I am following lies?
“Not in the least part would you care.”
I need to find truth no lies.
“Lies are truth can’t you see that?”
Why do you miss lead what is not to be seen?
“Can’t you just follow blindly?”
Never do I know what you are saying.
“Listen to me as you fall.”
When do you ever shut up?
“I will be heard as you fall.”
I will not follow blindly.
“Float away with me.”
Doesn’t it haunt you as well?
“You and I are one in the same”
