The real world

by ~*^*~ longing to belong ~*^*~   Oct 10, 2004

In the real world,
Perhaps the sun does shine,
Maybe the sky is clear,
And the weather always fine.
In the real world,
Day never turns to night,
The light is always there,
The good things hide the shi*e.
In the real world,
No-one is ever sad or lonely,
No-one feels guilt,
And no-one need be phony.

But this is not the real world,
And the sun never seems to shine,
My sky is never clear,
And the weather is never fine.
But this is not the real world,
My day is always night,
The light was never there,
And the good things barely reach the shi*e.
But this is not the real world,
We are always sad and lonely,
We all have felt guilt,
And everyone is phoney.
