Solitaire

I’m playing Solitaire
In my computer as
I write this little poem.

And I wonder the where-
Abouts of the rest of the
Aces that should go

To those other two panels.
Thinking which one to
Touch and drag and

Stick under my King of
Spades. Where is the
Seven of Diamonds, anyways?

Clicking on the multi-
Colored face of my deck, I
Continue to look for Seven.

Devastated, I reach for my
Deck, three times I click.
Don’t give up.

But, the cursed deck
Betrays me and goes
Back to the beginning.

Green round circle is
Getting on my last nerves.
Give me my one and

Only chance, you deck, you!
Oh, Seven where art thou?
Over and over- I

Longingly stare and
Look at that, only-too-familiar,
Lonely Eight of Spades.

My score has dropped to zero.
Moping, I struggle,
More determined than

Before to finish and
Beat the game.
Become a champion and

Win three times in a row.
Waiting and clicking.
Woe is me!

No way! I can’t get that seven.
Not my luck today.
No big deal. Guess I’ll

Just start over. Don’t
Jinx me! This tear-
Jerking task is not

Really that easy. I’ll have to
Restart the game.
Remember my mistakes.

Playing solitaire, making a
Poem about it is
Pretty challenging; I’ll have to say.

Forgive me for this poem. I’m
Fidgety with this game left
Forlorn. Too hard for me. Sorry.
