The very next time

by Roberto Serrano   Oct 10, 2004

The next time I don’t want to feel this breathing mesh cloud my sane heart with misery,
The next time I won’t breathe and exhale I’ll just turn to dust and let the north winds carry me home,
The next time I just want to remember… wipe away my tears and walk away into for-never,
The next time I just want to cry to the heavens and watch the clouds as they fill with anger then unleash their wrath upon you,
The next time I want to be an architect so I can read the blueprints of love and avoid the bleeding resulted from your fake soul,
The next time I want to make sure she has a pure soul so that my tainted heart won’t reopen the deep wounds it found placed upon its flesh,
The next time I will be as hard as iron and these salty tears will only rust my exterior and not harm my wounded interiors,
The next time I won’t step on your heels wishing to halt your goodbyes I will just let you leave…
The very next time I will rename the stars that I gave your name to and I will give them back to God’s Angelic Choirs,
The next time I get my heart broken I shall only sigh and walk back into pain for pain was my miserable company,
The very next time I get my heart broken I won’t feel to die I will just reincarnate in a new lovers kiss,
The next time I will just live and not die without you…
The very next time I will just let you die without me…
