Sea of Pain

by Roberto Serrano   Oct 11, 2004

A blind quest for love leaves a man devoured in his desperation,
An endless search in an open sea of tears, pain, agony and disbelief,
I compliment pain with my own tears and add to the seas depth,
For people die in this sea drowned by raw sorrow,
I search on this sea for my lost love victim of jealousy,
I search beyond eyes view on this enchanted sea,
I see debris of lovers letters covered in blood torn into confetti,
I hear echoes of pain far off in the distance,
And I yell her name in return hoping she would reply,
Storms and harsh winds fill the skies and rain falls on my head,
Rain falls as people cry on this sea of lost hopes and lost loves,
And I continue to search for my lost love facing obstacles that kill,
Only to share my eternity aside her and save her from this hell,
Delusional to pain I see an island with a woman yelling for salvation,
I sail to her rescue and turn her upward to face the love of my life,
She heard my calling and reached for me while awaiting her rescue,
For through pain and misery love and passion triumph,
Passions burn the sea of pain to the nothing it once was,
For pain never existed for love and now re-united pain is no more,
Only love the owner of my soul and the reason of my self-existence!
