To Inspire

To inspire one to go farther then you ever will go,
to persuade you to learn more then you will ever know.
To show you the world is not a dream to awake,
to show you what life has really at stake.
What is this that gives you this power over me,
for I live but without you I am not free.
Why do you challenge me at every turn,
but in the end its you that I yearn.
I am but a mortal just going on with my life,
but I know no real happiness until you make me your wife.
I have loved before but never so real,
why was it my heart you could steal.
You are the one that I can dance the clouds with every day,
and gives me hope that in life we shall play.
I am just a normal person until you came into my light,
for in you my love I hold the worlds might.
