My Craving

by Robert   Oct 11, 2004

I have been with others in the way I wish to be with you,
but I can’t believe the feeling I have for you is true.
I am but a prisoner waiting to be freed by your skin,
a shadow of a man hoping to take part in our sin.
Your eyes search into my soul and your hands give me wonder,
a feeling that set my flesh aflame and my knees bend under.
What is the magic that you have given me this day,
for my heart is moved but my body will not sway.
What is in your touch that makes me want you so much more,
what is in your voice that has captured my heart’s core?
In the past I have loved lightly but have felt no hold,
but as I gaze upon you I see you and I grow old.
No words can feel the genuine happiness I feel by your side,
no motions of my hands will ever show you will lie.
I am yours with all I can ever do or say,
and to this marriage of passion say you will stay.
Show me I am worthy of the love I crave from you,
for hold my hand place your body by mine and tell me what I am to do.
