Dint you remember?

by Megha   Oct 11, 2004

You saw that phone in the window of a shop,
and every time we passed the window you'd stop.
i loved you and i wanted your wish to come true,
so i decided i had to buy the phone for you.

i denied myself of little pleasures to pay for,
i sold my earrings and collected even more.
everyday the price of the phone i would trace,
and every night I'd dream of that smile on your face.

on your birthday when you opened up your gift,
your eyes off it you could not shift.
you said it'll always remind you of me,
and you'll keep it as close to you as can be.

so when you held that very phone to your ear,
and through it told Rhea that you love her,
dint you remember that not so far away,
there's me to whom those words you always say?
