Stare beyond paradise

by Mild insomnia   Oct 11, 2004

Go on I dare you
Try and see
All the things I see
It's not something you'd expect me to do
But these are views from me.

And who's there, to decide
What they mean
Or if they're true.

Stare beyond my eyes
Anticipate an island paradise
Wouldn't it be so nice?
But no,
No light,
And from the hunters you can't hide.

They never sleep and never rest
Not inside my head
And so while I lie awake in bed
They're stalking me for dead
And it will never end.

Stare beneath my soul
Into the depths of hell that are untold
Where the fires burn cold
And no,
You can't go,
Not after what you've been shown.

It's all reflected in my eyes...
Still it's not deep enough,
So many things inside,
That are just too tough...

Stare into my mind
Look for the answers you know you won't find
But I beg you to try
Still no,
Shadows hide,
The things that burn inside...
You look upon ignorance, paradise.
