My definition of love

by Mild insomnia   Oct 11, 2004

I refuse to see you cry,

And that's a fact,

I'll never push you aside,

Unless you, object to that.

So let my love surround you,
Your new defense,
That is if you're willing to,
Cos all of this sh*8,
It makes no sense.

Every time you don't smile,
My heart breaks for a while,
And it's getting so fragile,
The cracks thin, and it's in a pile.
Let me take all your pain,
Allow me to keep you sane,
I won't watch you go through that ever again,
This promise I'm keeping til the end.

Let my soul be your skin,
And with every cut,
Each time you slide the knife in,
At least I know that you're sure to wake up.

Every line across your arm,

Will make me bleed,

And this from your self harm,

This time maybe, my words you'll heed.

Each time you feel alone,
I'll numb down to the bone,
I cannot ever let you go through this alone,
Even if it turns my heart to stone.
No matter how I cry,
I'll see you, and I'll get by,
Let me be the antidote, when you wanna die,
And let's pray that that's not tonight.
