The Ice goddess

by ~*^*~ longing to belong ~*^*~   Oct 11, 2004

I’m supposed to stay silent,
And aloof,
Ignoring their stares,
And whispered insults,
I’m trying to be,
The Ice goddess,
Blanking the words,
From my frozen mind,
My heart impenetrable,
My words empty,
Of all retaliation,
I’m supposed to be unable,
To feel the stabbing pain,
Of the blade,
Piercing my snow white skin,
I’m supposed to be unable,
To see the forming droplets,
Dark contrasting with light,
Falling into a wasteland,
I have to pretend,
I can control the,
Sliding thoughts and,
The spinning emotions,
I have to be strong,
On the outside,
Whilst inside,
I am crumbling away….
