Beautiful ---- Of Mine? (Part 65)

by ntv650   Oct 11, 2004

Rooted in deep on what humans thrive, living a seemingly pointless life.
Starting as a seed and growing in time.

Twisting and turning to face the light, opening yourself to the day.
Welcoming the sun, wind and even the rain.

Replacing emptiness with vibrant colours and an aroma that stays.
Making gentle hearts cry in sorrow or joy every day.

Taking away the splendour of the crowd as it hides in vain.
Sharp thorns touch causing blood on skin to stain.

Velvet petals that catch these cold raindrops beautifully,
Like my tears that your touch restrains.

Short lived but magnificient the life of this flower is truly divine.
Who will watch over you now, beautiful rose of mine?
