History's Destiny

by Pygmalion   Oct 12, 2004

Slowly wandering the dusts of Kashmir
Dodging bullets on the shore of Zaire
Marching with pride on Tien-An-Men square
History tells us of this nightmare

Hands were tied in the Cuban fleet
When blood was spattered on Kremlin's street
Palestines with terror in the air
It's this returning history I cannot bear

Hear me, warlords of this universe
It is from you that all conflicts immerse
When will you stop your genocide
And drop your cross of homicide

Have you seen how Congo faces died
Smiling children of Thalidomide
Our kids' murderers we cannot forgive
But history is gone, let us learn to live

From the ghettos of Warsaw to the slums of Rio
Everywhere you hear screams of the childless widow
Brave fighters of Avalon, resurrect to life
For God's sake, stop sharping history's knife

The small child, courageous after his release
Crosses his fingers and whispers peace
Warlords of the world, please spare our lives
For it is because of us that the world survives
