Poem about Poetry

I’m going to write a poem now,
I do not know if it will rhyme,
All I know is that it will,
Take up some of my time.

Maybe a haiku,
Or maybe a limerick,
Just something about

Poetry.

It just might be in the “alexandrin” form, eh?
With twelve syllables on each line, or else, ‘tis wrong.
You must figure out how much each syllable weighs.
When being written, this poem takes much too long.

I’ll give up on the syllables,
And the different forms too,
Because all I want,
Is to let my emotions shine through.
