Clash (Part 1)

by David C   Oct 12, 2004

I sit here once again on a hill of green, to look up at the sky above. I see white swirls of cirrus and cumulus surrounded by a vast, never ending blue. As birds glide around me singing in beautiful harmony, I can't help but smile at the sound of musical perfection. I walk which way the wind leads me, and set my eyes on a dazzling forest of red and orange. My senses are overwhelmed by the amazing colors and the graceful music of nature. My soul is filled with inner peace. My mind just begins to blossom as it all ceases. I breathe in an air of automobile exhaust. I search for pure air, gasping. I watch the people pass by...

Mankind, the antithesis of nature... When will they learn not to destroy the peaceful world around them?
