Shadow

by Stephen Levant   Oct 12, 2004

I am there when light is cast. I travel beside you, with you always, reflecting your baser needs. I am that on which the negative feeds. Or, am I? Which is reflection;which is the true self?

I've taken the chances you wouldn't take. I've forced decisions you would not make. Absorption is me. I am the gathering. Slathering fool that you are, I tolerate your presence realizing I am part of a whole.

Because of me, you strive. You seek to grasp that which ego desires at my urging. You survive...I survive. Strange creature called human. So many questions! All will be asked. Together, find the answers shall we...light and shadow.
