Lost its effect

by Striving To Be   Oct 13, 2004

I’m sorry, even though I know its lost its effect.
How in the world was this friendship wrecked.

I don’t even know what else to write.
But I won’t give you up without a fight.

Not talking for awhile will seem like years.
Who will be there to catch all my tears.

Those words were a dagger to the heart.
Aplogizing and fixing, I don’t know where to start

How am I to cope when poetry has lost its intent.
Where will I go to next in order to vent?

Everytime it rings I am only disappointed to see
That it indeed was not a call from thee.

So I will end this writing short
Without you I need life support

I hope you don’t feel like I do
And that everything works out too
