Searching in the Darkness

by Rebecca Lynn   Oct 13, 2004

Searching in the darkness
You can never find your way.
All you can do is stumble and hope you’ll be okay.

Searching in the darkness
You always second guess.
You can't seem to find what you are reaching for & you are trapped in loneliness.

Searching in the darkness
is fickle and absurd.
Your best opinions are what others say & what you think you've heard.

Searching in the darkness
You paw for truth in shades of grey.
But they are only shadows & soon will flicker away.

So to you, dear butterfly,
Here’s a lesson on how to fly.
The journey is so much clearer
when you open up your eyes.
