"It’s raining like the day you went away,
although I am soaked I want to stay.
My hands are cold and the flowers I hold are wet,
and as I stand here I only feel regret."

^^BEAUTIFUL opening, such beautiful imagery, and so much feeling.

"I wish you were here to help me with this mess,
for the bills are stacked up and our children are gone and I can’t cope I must confess."

    ^^Flow seems shaky..maybe something like:

Always wishing you were here to help me with this mess
Children gone, bills stacked up, I can't cope I confess

Other than that, this is perfect.

The emotion in this piece is overwhelming, without being overbearing. Your use of imagery is splendig, and apart from those lines I mentioned above, flow is perfect throughout.

The emotion here was amazing! You truly had me feeling for the couple in this situation. The way you created this scene was flawless because I could easily see everything clearly in my mind making me enjoy the piece that much more. Loved it.

    Well done.

  • The begining was siply flawless.
So much sadness and sorrow in your words.
    Another amazing piece.

"Always wishing you were here to help me with this mess
Children gone, bills stacked up, I can't cope I confess"

the flow of your wonderful poem was a little disturbed by the line above. my advice is for you to remove it and then your poem would be simply perfection..
