This lonely Place

This lonely street, where I live today
On a wet blanket is where I lay
A sadened place that I cannot bare,
A bitter place where others stare

On the coldest of most winter days,
This street is where my body lays
Begging and loathing for food from you
But walk away is what you do

To me no other person cares
Alls they do is laugh and stare
But alls I need is a friendly face
And a better life in a warmer place

Yes that’s my life, up on this street,
Nothing to drink, Nothing to eat
Yes this is where I must survive,
Wishing that I was not alive

I’m all alone, this you may see,
But life’s not what its made up to be
Begging daily, for food and drink,
What happens next I dread to think?

But deep inside, I dream of love,
Family friends, care and devotion
But right now, I’m all alone
Full of sadness and emotion

So take a minute, say a prayer for me,
That tomorrow, I’ll be happy you see
For this is what I daydream of,
Family, friends, and lots of love

So for now, I’ll stay right here,
Until that love is close and near
So thank you for your listening ear
I hope it did not bring a tear

(This is what some people have to cope with daily, so the next time you see someone like this, give them a warming smile and a few pence because that few pence and smile could help change someones life)
