Life's Endeavour

by N J Thornton   Oct 13, 2004

In the temperate hours when
Dusk becomes dawn
And birds of a feather briskly swarm
Beauty skin-deep flows
Down through the soul
To the eyes of egotistic control
Pacing alone on a tight rope airborne
Over defeat where pride does mourn
Gracefully juggling life’s diamond balls
A slip of a limb announces mortal great falls
Foreseeing the glitter and the key to success
Is just beyond reach of what you possess
With a breath of will and one lordly leap
The once feeble minded takes the sweep
With that, late twilight begins to unfold
As stars reflect the rocky, missions gold

I really hope someone understands this poem. I've tried so much to make it make sense. Please anyone tell me if you understand it.

The imagery and flow worked extremely well in synergy, the material you choose for the write is also very profound. I really enjoyed it.

    Warmest regards,
