You and I have always been a team
Two peas in a pod it may seem
We have always gone hand in hand
And that is something that only we can understand
Our journey together at times has gotten rough
But we both knew that we had to stay tough
You have been there for me every step of the way
And I appreciate that more than words can say
From the first dance recital to the last gymnastics meet
I knew I could always see you sitting proudly in your seat
You have been there through all my guys
And told me not to put up with their lies
You would cry and lose a few pounds along with me
But that’s just how the ultimate mother-daughter relationship should be
Losing Dad was the worst
And I swear sometimes we are cursed
But we had each other
And that’s the reason we could somehow recover
All of my friends say I have the coolest mom ever
I always agree and say, “Yeah she is mine foreverâ€
They all look forward to your food
It can instantly put anyone in a good mood
It is the little things you do that I am so thankful for
And I feel like I am always asking for more
Even though I might not say how much I appreciate all you do
I thank the Lord everyday I have a mother as special as you
But overall I thank you for your tender care
For your warm hugs and always being there!!
