The lullaby of rain on a tin roof

by Casey   Oct 14, 2004

Have you ever noticed the colors of fall?
Leaves of amber, crimson, and gold fill the trees,
They fall to the earth as the wind blows.
Wind that sends chills up your spine,
Chills that bring lovers closer together.
And late at night, when the rain falls
It sings them the lullaby of rain on a tin roof.
Rain washing the world clean
bringing on a silent calm
leaving such a sweet scent.
Wind rattles my windows
and more leaves fall to the ground
making the world smell musty, like damp earth.
And the rain sings me to sleep.
